Welcome to the MSc. Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering

The mission of the Department of Maritime Transportation Management Engineering is to provide quality education and equip the students with cutting-edge knowledge and skills required for ensuring the safe navigation and the management of the ship. To this end, the department has set it as its objective to become the lynchpin of education on maritime transportation management by offering the highest quality programs in the line with criteria set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The curriculum encourages rigorous self-discipline, promotes curiosity, and provides the students with professional knowledge, skills and ethics needed to address the requirements of the sector and contribute to its development. The department aims to produce competent engineers who are equipped with comprehensive professional knowledge and skills as well as versed in teamwork and personnel management and capable to steer the wheel of maritime forward by utilizing technology.

English Language Requirement

University of Kyrenia will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.
If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
