Welcome to the Associate of Arts Degree (English)

Students majoring in English choose from an assortment of courses in analytical and creative composition, literature of the United States and the world, and film studies. Students are taught to examine texts from various perspectives in order to understand cultural contexts and experiences, become aware of biases, and appreciate diverse points of view. Within the richness of literature, we learn to see the world through culturally diverse points of view and explore social, political, and historical contexts.
