Welcome to the BSc. Agribusiness -Agriculture Systems Management

We will help you understand how equipment and buildings are used with plants and animals to make sure you can make clear and direct decisions focusing on modern agricultural systems, including equipment, buildings, materials handling, and natural resources. You’ll learn to plan and manage machinery systems, building infrastructure, and soil and water resources used in the sustainable production of food, fiber and energy incorporating appropriate safety, environmental, legal and economic constraints.


You’ll also gain knowledge to implement the business principles and ethical practices necessary to build and maintain a viable farm or agribusiness and become an accomplished professional in agriculture. As an agribusiness: agriculture systems management major at Southeast, you’ll gain real-world learning experience including many opportunities outside the classroom, including: Practical management with the supervision of people and equipment. Optimize safety and budgets. Work closely with dedicated faculty with experience in various agribusiness areas. Gain valuable real-world experience through a required internship or research project and at the many departmental facilities.

Some carer path after graduation with Agriculture System Management includes; Product Education Use and Value, Technical Assistance and Troubleshooting, Technical Product Development, Testing, Application, and Sales, Farm & Agribusiness Management, Coordinating, Directing and Supervising Manufacturing and Processing Operations, Building and Equipment Layout, Use (Materials Handling, Flow, Processing), Operations Manager and/or Supervisor, Production Manager and/or Supervisor, Product Quality Control Manager, Financial Analyst and/or Advisor

English Language Requirement

Southeast Missouri State University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.

If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
