BSc (Hons) Business Computing and Data Analytics

The BSc Business Computing and Data Analytics programme is an interdisciplinary programme which integrates Business Computing and Data Analysis to: provide students with a solid knowledge base and skills in data analytics and its creative application in business organisations, provide students with both excellent data-driven problem-solving skills and an analytical mind for data analytics solution design, management and planning in business organisations, equip students with vast interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration between IT and business units, equip students with solid knowledge and experience in computing and data analytics projects to support their career developments and further studies in all related fields We designed a programme that will equip you with skills that are highly valued in the IT industry. You will gain experience in using modern software tools that are essential for a career in industry sectors dependent on data ecosystems. You will be capable of applying innovative solutions to complex problems using your analytical skills and your ability to transform data into business intelligence guiding enterprise-wide decisions. You will also develop a wide range of soft skills that are critical for an accelerated career, as identified by our industrial board.

Career option

The programme will prepare students for a range of careers in the field of Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Database, Information Management, System Analysis and Design and IT Project Management as well as a postgraduate study in Business Information Systems Management, Information Security Management, and Data Science. Graduates are likely to follow career paths in roles such as business intelligence expert, data and information analyst, ICT project manager, business consultant and ICT consultant.
