The
Rensselaer at Hartford master’s program in Electrical Engineering allows
students to increase their competence in a number of Electrical Engineering
subjects, particularly in Digital Communications and Signal Processing, Control
Systems, and Communication Networks. Students who have received a B.S. degree
in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited
institution, a GPA in the upper quartile, and some work experience in a
high-technology environment. Students with a B.S. degree in another engineering
discipline, mathematics, or physics may be admitted subject to fulfillment of
the following Electrical Engineering Background Requirements. Students must include in their Plan of Study a sequence
of three 6000- (or 7000-) level courses in at least one of the following areas
of specialization: Digital Communications and Signal Processing, Control
Systems, and Communication Networks. Electrical Engineering Background

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction.
