MSc. Leisure, Sport, and Tourism Management - Sport Industry

The Sport Industry Concentration of the Master of Science of Leisure, Sport, and Tourism Management at MTSU is for those who are preparing for senior-level positions in leisure and sport professions or those who are preparing for doctoral-level work in the leisure and sport fields. The two-year program focuses on parks and recreation; recreational, college, and professional sport; event planning; tourism; and resort or hotel administration. The goal of this program is to prepare individuals to lead leisure and sport organizations, to support the expansion of the leisure and sport industries, and to conduct research that advances the body of knowledge in these disciplines. These positions could include administrators, supervisors, educators, consultants, and researchers to assist people to live richer and more rewarding lives through leisure programs and experiences. A graduate degree enhances skills, increases competency, and results in a higher perceived value to employers. The Sport Industry Concentration of the Master of Science of Leisure, Sport, and Tourism Management at MTSU requires completion of a minimum of 36 semester hours (thesis) or 36 semester hours (professional project or internship).

English Language Requirement

Middle Tennessee State University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
