Our program is designed with a focus on clinical practice provided through the hands on applications and clinical practicum delivered at classes and clinical practice laboratories. Speech language therapists (SLTs) work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, voice, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. Our aim is to train speech and language therapy experts who follow the scientific developments and advances in technology and integrate this knowledge to their clinical practice, with an awareness of occupational ethics and values and eagerness for collaboration while practicing their profession with the highest level of competence to increase the quality of life of their clients.

Undergraduate student can work after they complete their first year at the university up 24 hours a week. Turkish laws allow students who graduate to apply for one year long residence/work permit.

İstanbul Medipol University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, evidence of English study within a 12 year education system where English is designated as the primary and official language and the principal language of instruction. For applicants who do not yet meet the English language requirement, there are two pathways to achieve the necessary level:
Pre-sessional English Programme; Students may successfully complete a preparatory English programme offered by the university before beginning their academic course. Recognized English Proficiency Tests; Students may submit one of the following minimum scores prior to the start of their program: IELTS: 6.5 overall band score (or equivalent), TOEFL or PTE: Score of 60, Duolingo English Test: Score of 120.
