The BS in economics trains students in economic theory along with data analytic and critical thinking skills required to investigate real-world economic problems. The hands-on application of these tools in the classroom is stressed throughout the curriculum, culminating in the capstone research project. Graduates of this degree program can apply these quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a variety of jobs in the private sector, government, think tanks, and non-governmental agencies to guide policy decisions and improve outcomes through better decision-making. The degree can also be a stepping stone for graduate studies in various areas, including further study in economics and other business-related disciplines, law, and public policy. You will earn a degree from a globally recognized business school where the programs are taught by an accomplished and dedicated faculty and are supported by a network of business executives. English Language Requirement

The University of Akron will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit
