Students will gain an
understanding of the functional areas of business including marketing,
advertising, finance, management, operations, business information systems,
business law and human resources. It will prepare students for a career in
business focussing on areas such as marketing, global business, management,
finance and general business. Apply critical thinking and analytical skills in
decision-making and problem solving. Evaluate and analyze financial statements.
Develop an understanding of the law and the legal environment as it relates to
business operations, including its ethical implications. Identify the basics of
information technology and its uses in business. Create effective oral and
written business communications utilizing modern communication technologies. Gain
the skills you need to succeed in the modern workforce. Courses in the online
AS in Business Administration program will introduce you to business trends and
give you exposure to data analytics for business decision-making. You'll also
develop soft skills like problem solving, communication and ethics in business.
