Welcome to the Associate of Science Degree (Business Administration)

Students will gain an understanding of the functional areas of business including marketing, advertising, finance, management, operations, business information systems, business law and human resources. It will prepare students for a career in business focussing on areas such as marketing, global business, management, finance and general business. Apply critical thinking and analytical skills in decision-making and problem solving. Evaluate and analyze financial statements. Develop an understanding of the law and the legal environment as it relates to business operations, including its ethical implications. Identify the basics of information technology and its uses in business. Create effective oral and written business communications utilizing modern communication technologies. Gain the skills you need to succeed in the modern workforce. Courses in the online AS in Business Administration program will introduce you to business trends and give you exposure to data analytics for business decision-making. You'll also develop soft skills like problem solving, communication and ethics in business.

English Language Requirement

College of San Mateo will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.

If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit
