Southeast's international business
program provides a specialized curriculum for students interested in in
preparing themselves for managerial careers in international business. This
interdisciplinary major emphasizes the development of cultural, financial,
managerial, marketing, and economic understanding of the international
environment. International study opportunities include over 20 overseas
locations while paying Southeast’s standard tuition and fees. As an
international business major at Southeast, you’ll be prepared for
employment with companies participating in global commerce—from locally owned
entrepreneurial enterprises to multinational corporations. In the program, you are taught how global
markets and economies work and how companies strategically handle the problems
that arise when they operate in a foreign market. For example, such challenges
could be differences in legislation and regulations in international markets,
differences in what foreign customers expect from certain products, how to manage
financial resources when you operate in more than one country or dealing with
strategic issues in the use and development of technology innovations in global
markets.
