Welcome to the BSc. Mass Communications (Advertising & Public Relations)

This programme is contemporary and cutting edge, focusing on providing students with the knowledge both theoretically and practically to have a successful career in advertising, corporate/organisational communication, media relations, branding, employee communication, and PR. Students will develop an excellent understanding of communication, advertising and PR principles. Working both on their own and as part of a team, students will also gain transferable skills and develop their confidence in presenting work and ideas to their peers, lecturers and professionals in the industry. Throughout the course, you'll explore the principles and practices of mass communication, advertising, and public relations, learn to develop itegrated communication strategies, and gain practical experience working on real-world campaigns for clients. Through industry partnerships, and collaborative projects, you'll gain insights into the inner workings of media, advertising, and public relations industries and prepare to navigate the complexities of today's communication landscape. Discover advertising trends and the fine art of public relations through this emphasis. Students will take courses covering topics such as the role of social media, and advertising and public relations principles.

English Language Requirement

Southeast Missouri State University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.

If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit
