Welcome to the Associate Degree Interior Design

The Interior Design program allows the students to develop the abilities to create building interiors that answer the economic, functional, technical, psychological, and aesthetic requirements of a project by emphasizing the fundamentals of interior design in conjunction with the technical aspects of planning, structures, and construction methods.

The Interior Design students are introduced to the basic elements and theories of design, color and spatial composition that form the foundation of creative design for both residential and commercial properties. Interior Design students, through topic-specific courses, are introduced to both manual and CAD drawing skills. Theory and technical courses familiarize the student with the fundamentals in design attributes of materials, lighting, furniture, textiles, architectural history, specifications, building codes, and building systems.

Eligibility

English Language Requirement

College of the Canyons will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.

If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
