At our Faculty, a “process based dental education model” is implemented. In this model, dental related topics are systematically examined throughout the entire lifespan of an individual, from birth to death. Our educational model meets the standards recommended by the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE) and applied in European Union countries. The primary aim of this model is to equip our students with research and self learning skills and to enhance their academic productivity throughout the year.
The Faculty of Dentistry at Istanbul Medipol University houses the largest simulation laboratory in Türkiye. This laboratory was established to help dental students acquire the manual skills and clinical competencies required during their education. Here, students practice various dental treatments on prepared models. The simulation laboratory contains a total of 156 models. Students can watch live demonstrations by instructors via monitors located at their units. Training is also conducted on artificial patients positioned in dental chairs, allowing students to simulate real patient treatments.
Undergraduate student can work after they complete their first year at the university up 24 hours a week. Turkish laws allow students who graduate to apply for one year long residence/work permit.
