Welcome to the BA. English Studies with Japanese

The educational model focuses on the major subjects in English philology and three extension modules: Translation, Business, or Language Education – one of your choice. Throughout their education, students additionally study Japanese as part of the reading course provided for each of the six semesters.
As a graduate, you will be an English specialist with a developed skillset, completed internship, and the ability to speak Japanese. your study of Japanese, you can continue to study another foreign language from the UEHS offer. There are no unnecessary formalities. You will deepen your linguistic and cultural knowledge under the guidance of experienced lecturers and practitioners.
Investigate the sounds, words and grammar of the English language, and study its origin, development and regional variations. Gain advanced linguistic skills in Japanese and explore the culture, history and politics of Japan. Spend a year in Japan to consolidate your language learning.
Career Path
You will develop analytical and problem-solving skills together with intercultural awareness and communication skills - which are highly valued by employers. Many of our graduates go straight into business services, marketing, advertising, management, banking, or communications.

English Language Requirement

University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw  will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.
If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
