The
WashU Law LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Technology Law provides an
in-depth, specialized education for lawyers seeking to master the rapidly evolving
landscape of IP, technology, and information law. Designed for both U.S. and
internationally trained legal professionals, this program delves into the
theoretical and practical dimensions of intellectual property rights, including
patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets, while also exploring
emerging issues in data privacy, cybersecurity, e-commerce, and the regulation
of new technologies. Students engage with a dynamic curriculum taught by expert
faculty, preparing them for careers at the cutting edge of innovation, digital
policy, and global IP practice. The
curriculum allows students to study introductory and advanced intellectual
property law and to scrutinize the politics affecting those areas of the law
under the guidance of leading scholars in the field. Students participate in
practical skills courses taught in small groups by teams of experienced
intellectual property lawyers.

Washington University School of Law will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction.
