Welcome to the Bachelor of Dentistry

The Dentistry BDS course combines the very latest thinking in dental education with early clinical experience. You will be taught by internationally-renowned staff and exposed to a rich breadth of skills and knowledge in a diverse clinical environment.
This five-year degree is designed to help you build the skills you will need as a dental professional. The Department of Dentistry at Near East University follows a new and innovative curriculum: you will study care of the mouth, including prevention and treatment of dental diseases, screening for oral cancers, managing trauma, orthodontics and oral surgery.
We encourage you to take a holistic approach to dentistry by studying the human sciences along with your core dentistry modules – including sociology and psychology – to examine patients’ attitude to oral healthcare and the dental profession.

Admission Requirements

English Language Requirement

Near East University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.
If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
