mechanics use high-tech skills to inspect, maintain, and repair automobiles.
Our program gives you hands-on training and is certified by the National
Automotive Technicians Education Foundation. The automotive industry has a long
history and a bright future. Your in-demand skills will mean job security with
careers at auto dealers, independent repair shops, auto and truck leasing
facilities, government motor pool agencies, parts sales and other auto related
service businesses. What you'll learn; Engine repair, Electrical systems, Diagonistic tools and
equipment, Industry safety standards, Practical math skills, Welding, and Transmission,
brakes, steering, axles, and more. The Automotive Technology Associate Degree
program provides skills necessary to enter into and excel in the automotive
service and repair industry. Automotive theories are built upon with support
from extensive hands-on training in an active shop environment along with
supportive and complementary general education courses to enhance practical
vehicle maintenance knowledge. The automotive industry has a high demand for
qualified technicians who complete automotive training programs. Learners may
also build upon their education and experience to find employment in managerial
and supervisory roles.
