Our Public Relations (PR) diploma program provides relevant, in-depth training for the next wave of public relations and communications professionals. At KPU your PR education is: Extendable: With careful planning, you can complete the diploma as part of another degree at KPU, counting towards as much as half the credits required for a four-year BBA in Marketing or a BA in Journalism. Experiential: Our instructors are industry professionals who combine PR theory with hands-on experiential learning. You have the option of pursuing Co-Op work terms during your study. Current: Our courses are aligned with the latest academic and industry standards, and are developed with an advisory committee of PR experts. Graduates have found employment in a variety of positions in multinational corporations, nonprofit organizations, government and PR agencies. Specialists in public relations and communications perform some or all of the following duties: Create and evaluate communications strategies and publicity programs to inform clients, employees and the general public of initiatives and policies of businesses, governments, arts and non-profit organizations.

Kwantlen Polytechnic University accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, evidence of English study within a 12 year education system where English is designated as the primary and official language and the principal language of instruction. For applicants who do not yet meet the English language requirement, there are two pathways to achieve the necessary level:
Pre sessional English Programme; Students may successfully complete a preparatory English programme offered by the university before beginning their academic course. Recognized English Proficiency Tests; Students may submit one of the following minimum scores prior to the start of their program: IELTS: 6.5 overall band score (or equivalent), TOEFL or PTE: Score of 60, Duolingo English Test: Score of 120.
Students can work part time for up to 20 hours per week and full time during academic breaks. After graduation, students from an eligible Designated Learning Institution may apply for work permit up to three years, depending on the length of study and program eligibility.
