Welcome to the BA. (Hons) Graphic Design

Graphic Design is a hands-on, ideas-driven studio-based course where you will learn a variety of approaches to visual communication. Distinctive creative personalities are nurtured and the unconventional is actively encouraged. At all stages of the course we focus on contemporary and relevant design that embraces imaginative thinking. You have the opportunity to connect with industry, either through visiting speakers, 'live' briefs or work  experience.
Students will become familiar with the professional practices of the design industry and their place in the larger historical and theoretical context of creative endeavor, leading ultimately to a vocation that is both personally satisfying and a valuable service to others. Beginning with the principle that knowledge is the source of creativity, students are encouraged to not only become capable designers, but also educated adults and lifelong learners
Career Path
Graduates have gone on to be designers in design consultancies and in-house teams for industry and public authorities; magazine and publication designers; art directors and creative teams in advertising agencies; digital media designers and filmmakers for creative online content.
