Welcome to the Associate Degree Art Gallery

The Associate Degree Art Gallery program draws on the unique resources of the College of the Canyons Gallery and the Art and Design Department, and offers students foundation courses in administration and curatorial work in art galleries and museums and liberal arts courses necessary for the gallery and museum field. The arts are crucial to the life of a civilized community and a vital component in holistic learning.
In addition to the major courses of the program four art history courses, courses in art administration, art institutions and curating, and two gallery or museum internships students will take one course in business, liberal arts courses in English, a foreign language, chemistry, history, and mathematics.
Our program combines theory with practical application; art, design and media skills with a foundation in art history; and introduction to exhibition design and museum studies.

Admission Requirements

English Language Requirement

College of the Canyons will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.
If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
