Welcome to the BSc. (Hons) Automotive Engineering

The BEng (Hons) Automotive Engineering degree will provide you with the knowledge and skills required in the modern automotive industry, with a focus on autonomous vehicle technology.  On our Automotive Engineering BEng(Hons) degree you’ll work with engineering specialists and innovative researchers on challenging and rewarding projects such as fighting robots, rocket cars, and the International Engineering Without Borders challenge.
The automotive industry is changing rapidly and moving towards electrical vehicles which are set to completely dominate the market in the next two decades. This course has been designed with these technological developments in mind with as much emphasis on electrical side of vehicle design as the mechanical side so graduates are well equipped for the automotive industry of the future.
The automotive industry is set for global growth over the next decade. Engineers play a role in designing cleaner and more efficient vehicles to address environmental challenges, while urbanisation is driving a need for better transport solutions.
Career Option
Graduates from the Automotive Engineering degree can take on the role of: Automotive design engineer, Reliability and asset management engineering, Automotive production engineering, Car production engineer, Product manager (with experience), R&D engineer

English Language Requirement

Near East University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.
If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
