WashU Law General LL.M. program is designed for both international and U.S.-trained
lawyers seeking to deepen their understanding of U.S. or international law, or
to develop expertise in specific legal fields. This highly flexible program
empowers students to customize their curriculum to align precisely with their
academic interests and career aspirations. Students are fully integrated into
the J.D. curriculum, allowing them to choose from a wide array of courses and
benefit from the expertise of worldrenowned faculty, ultimately preparing them
for success in today's global legal environment. Our esteemed faculty
personally designed this program for international students and lawyers seeking
a fundamental understanding of the U.S. legal system. Students will develop the
skills to research, write, and communicate like a U.S. lawyer and earn a degree

Washington University School of Law will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction.
