Welcome to the Associate Degree Culinary Arts

The Culinary Arts program is designed to prepare students for careers in the culinary field. The design of the program is balanced between developing the culinary tactile skills of food preparation and the management qualities necessary for career growth. The program will focus on cooking skills development, problem solving, and challenging students to critically evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of culinary operations and identify entrepreneurial approaches to operations.

Learn how to develop flavor, employ classic and contemporary culinary techniques, create menus, and prepare global cuisines. Study the ways successful culinary professionals manage restaurants, high-end catering, food trucks, and other food-related businesses. Develop food business smarts with study in management, communication, and finance.

Eligibility

English Language Requirement

College of the Canyons will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.

If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
