The college strives to provide for the distinct needs of their service area by challenging everyone to continually build a responsive, innovated and results-orientated institution. As a result, Great Plains College was the first regional college in Saskatchewan to introduce a health and dental plan for its students and also proudly boasts one of the strongest scholarship programs in all of Canada.
Highlights from the reports are as follows: 70% of post-secondary students in 2017-18 had secured employment in their field within 60-90 days of graduating and completing their programs; 64% of basic education students in 2017-18 had secured employment in their field within 60-90 days of graduating and completing their programs; 71% of employed students found employment within the Great Plains College (Southwest) region; and 96% of students would recommend Great Plains College to a friend, colleague or family member.
