Earn your Sports Media degree as
a concentration in the Bachelor of Science Journalism program through the
School of Journalism and Strategic Media in the College of Media and
Entertainment at MTSU. The sports journalism degree offers students from all
majors an opportunity to gain additional exposure to the sports industry and
its impact on society. This emphasis can be beneficial for students who wish to
pursue sports careers in print/online media, public relations, promotions,
marketing communications, and broadcast journalism. You don't have to be a pro
athlete to appreciate the thrill of the game. Sports Media connects your
passion with a multitude of exciting career options. Many of our students have
found employment in radio play-by-play, TV sports, newspaper and online sports
reporting, sports public relations, and sports marketing. Many others work in
industries where at least part of the job is in the sports industry.
