Whether you're working on prerequisites or planing to transfer to a four-year college or university, you'll find the level of math you need. Lane Community College’s Math Program will prepare you to transfer to a four-year university and earn a bachelor's in Mathematics or a related field. Our graduates have gone onto careers in health, finance, education, and STEM research. The study of mathematics develops analytic and quantitative skills which are invaluable in any field. As more and more modern professions require the use of data and measurable results, math skills will help you sort through the noise and find real answers.  Many students successfully transfer to a 4-year university such as UO, OSU, or OIT. They complete degrees in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance/Actuarial Science, and related fields. Problem-solving, Communication and teamwork, Computational skills, Analytical skills. Graduates of an Associate Degree in Mathematics (Transfer) can pursue entry-level analytical roles or continue into a bachelor’s program in mathematics, statistics, data science, or engineering.

English Language Requirement

Lane Community College will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit 

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
