Assessment exams. The Department of biology, is committed to delivering
high-quality, research-informed teaching in a range of biology and life science
fields alongside a developing Life Sciences research portfolio. Staff
have expertise in a range of disciplines which will support your scientific
development and prepare you for professional practice as a science educator. Learn
the latest techniques for engaging students while teaching the sciences. Immerse
yourself in coursework to increase your knowledge of biology. Gain
experience integrating technology into your teaching methods. Focus on teaching
techniques, so that you’re preparing all your students to succeed.
Career Path
Graduates will have developed the
skills required to teach biology in secondary schools. Graduates will also have
developed skills applicable to creating, setting up and demonstrating
experiments commonly carried out in secondary school bioscience labs. A
Bachelor in Biology Education could play roles as: Biology Educator, Environmental
Consultant, Biology Researcher, Laboratory Manager, Entrepreneur.
